Description: Would you know what to do if someone close to you needed CPR or First Aid? Learn how to save a life and treat people in need of medical attention. You will learn all the aspects of Adult Child and Infant CPR, choking and how and when to use the AED. Upon completion a two year CPR certification card will be issued.

| CPR For The Professional Rescuer (May 20th Class) |
|
Description: A course designed for rescue personnel, lifeguards, nurses and other health workers. This course teaches basic life support skills as well as 2-person CPR, the use of a pocket mask, modified airway techniques, bag-valve mask, and other skilled procedures. Required for nurses, athletic trainers, rescue personnel, lifeguards, and other health care workers. Be sure to bring your pocket mask if you have one, or masks are available for purchase. If you want your own AHA book to take home they can be purchased for $12 at class.

| Counselor In Training Program |

Description: Have you ever dreamed of being a summer camp counselor? Start getting ready early by applying for the Town of New Windsor Summer Camp Counselor In Training Program. This is a six week program that meets from 9:00am to 4:00pm and the candidate must be in attendance on a regular basis. We are only choosing a limited number of candidates this year for each park to be our CIT’s so don’t hesitate fill out and submit your application as soon as possible. Our CIT’s will be trained in child and adult CPR, First Aid, and Leadership Skills. They will assist our camp counselors in the direct supervision of campers and with the daily operations of camp. They will also go on a trip yet to be determined. (Must fill out CIT application and interview for position to be selected) Applications need to be in by Friday June 10th, 2011 to be considered. If chosen for the program you must pay fee of $300, but if program is completed and all requirements are fulfilled the CIT will receive a check of $150 that will be mailed out at the end of the program.
